1. Overview
This website is operated by Maison Svea. Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us" and "our" refer to Maison Svea. We offer this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site, to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.
2. Products
We make every effort to display our products accurately. Colors and appearance may vary slightly depending on your screen settings. Product descriptions, materials and specifications are provided to the best of our knowledge. If you have questions about a specific product, contact us before purchasing.
3. Pricing and currency
Prices are displayed in the currency of your market: euros in France and the European Union, US dollars in the United States. The currency shown at checkout is the currency you will be charged in. Prices for other markets are converted automatically and may vary with exchange rates. All prices include applicable VAT where required; customs duties and import taxes are excluded and described in our Shipping Policy. Prices are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any product without notice, and we shall not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, price change or discontinuance.
4. Orders
We reserve the right to refuse any order. We may, at our sole discretion, limit or cancel quantities purchased per person, per household or per order. If we cancel or modify your order, we will attempt to notify you using the email address or phone number provided at the time the order was placed.
5. Payment
We accept major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), Apple Pay and Shop Pay. All transactions are processed securely through Shopify Payments. By submitting your order, you represent that the payment information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the payment method.
6. Shipping
Tracked standard shipping costs €3.90, is free on orders of €34.90 or more and takes 6 to 10 business days once dispatched. Priority delivery is available for €10.90 and takes 3 to 6 business days. Orders are dispatched within 24 to 48 business hours. Delivery windows are estimates, not guarantees. Full details, including the destinations we serve, are set out in our Shipping Policy. Maison Svea is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier once the parcel has been dispatched.
7. Returns and exchanges
We offer a 30-day return policy from the date of delivery. Items must be unused, unworn and in their original packaging. To initiate a return, contact us at contact@maisonsvea.com. Return shipping is free. Please see our Refund Policy for full details.
8. Defective or damaged items
If you receive a defective or damaged item, contact us within 7 days of delivery at contact@maisonsvea.com with photos of the issue. We will offer a replacement or a full refund at no additional cost to you. This is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory rights.
9. Intellectual property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images and software, is the property of Maison Svea or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from any content without our written permission.
10. Account responsibilities
If you create an account on our site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
11. Prohibited uses
You may not use our site for any unlawful purpose, to violate any laws, to infringe on intellectual property rights, to transmit harmful code, or to interfere with the security features of the site.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Maison Svea shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of your use of the website or your purchase of any product. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability where it cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection law.
13. Privacy
Your use of the site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
14. European Union consumer rights
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, without giving any reason. This right is in addition to any other return rights we offer. You also benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity provided by EU consumer law. Nothing in these terms affects your mandatory statutory rights as a consumer.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by French law. If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection afforded by the mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. In case of a dispute, please contact us first at contact@maisonsvea.com so that we can try to resolve it directly. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
16. Changes to these terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes take effect upon posting. Your continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
