Stainless Steel
Our most durable material, used in the core of our collection. Stainless steel is an alloy prized for its strength and resistance to corrosion.

- Harder and more durable than brass, zinc, or standard alloy
- Holds plating significantly longer than softer base metals
- Water-resistant — safe for showers, hand washing, and rain
Our stainless steel pieces are finished with 18K gold, silver, or rose gold plating.

Titanium Steel
A lightweight alloy that is naturally hypoallergenic and corrosion-resistant. Used in designs where reduced weight and skin-friendliness are priorities.
- Lighter than standard stainless steel
- Hypoallergenic — suitable for sensitive skin
- Resistant to tarnishing and corrosion
- Finished with electroplated or anti-tarnish coating
What to know: Titanium steel pieces are best removed before prolonged water exposure. They resist tarnishing and corrosion well, but keeping them dry helps the plated finish last longer.

Stainless Steel with PVD Plating
PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) is a plating technique that bonds the gold layer directly to the stainless steel surface at a molecular level. This creates a significantly more durable finish than traditional electroplating.
- Waterproof and tarnish-resistant
- More durable than standard plating
- Safe for daily showers and water exposure

Gold-Plated Copper
Copper allows for finer detail work — particularly in letter designs, micro-set stone arrangements, floral motifs, and star settings. Finished with 18K gold or silver electroplating.
What to know: Copper-based pieces require more care than steel. Remove before water contact, avoid direct contact with perfume or lotion, and store in a pouch when not wearing.

Sera Necklace uses a titanium steel chain with a copper pendant — combining the hypoallergenic chain with a detailed copper setting.
Copper-Zinc Alloy
A composite alloy that combines copper and zinc for a denser, more substantial feel. Finished with electroplating.

Electroplated Alloy
Lightweight alloy pieces with gold or silver electroplating. Comfortable for everyday wear.
What to know: Best kept away from water. Store in a pouch or box when not worn to maintain the finish.

18K Gold-Plated Zinc Alloy
Zinc alloy with 18K gold plating. The harder alloy produces crisp, detailed patterns.

304 Stainless Steel
A widely used stainless steel grade with strong corrosion resistance, used in select minimalist designs.

Woven & Textile
Hand-braided polyester cord with gold-plated metal accents. A casual, stackable piece designed for layering.

What 18K gold plating actually means.
Most metal pieces are finished with 18K gold, silver, or rose gold plating. A few things to understand:
- Plating is a surface finish, not solid metal — this is how we keep prices at $25–35 instead of $250+
- Steel and titanium steel hold plating significantly longer than brass or copper bases
- With proper care, the finish lasts well through everyday wear
- All plating will gradually show wear over time with heavy daily use — this is normal for any plated jewelry at any price

- High-quality base materials (stainless steel or titanium steel in most pieces)
- 18K gold or silver plating
- Hypoallergenic metals on steel and titanium steel pieces
- Water resistance on stainless steel pieces (titanium steel and copper pieces should avoid water)
What it isn't:
- Solid gold or solid silver
- Handmade artisan production

Will the gold wear off?
All plated jewelry shows wear over time with daily use. Stainless steel pieces hold plating the longest. Following the care tips on each product page extends the finish significantly.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Our stainless steel and titanium steel pieces are hypoallergenic. If you have metal allergies, choose pieces with these base metals — they're clearly labeled on each product page.
Is it waterproof?
Stainless steel pieces (especially those with PVD plating) are water-resistant — safe for showers, rain, and hand washing. Titanium steel, copper, alloy, and textile pieces should avoid water exposure. Each product page specifies water safety for that piece.
